Appointments & fees
Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and preferably occur at the same time, on the same day, on a weekly basis in order to create and maintain an effective therapeutic relationship.
My fees are as follows:
Initial 50 minute session = £30
I offer this session at a reduced fee in order for you to discuss your difficulties, and for us both to decide if we feel we are able to continue working together without any pressure or obligation.
50 minute sessions thereafter = £50
I offer a reduced fee of £30 for student counsellors.
Fees may be paid by cash at the beginning of each session or by weekly bank transfer. Unfortunately, failure to make payment on time may result in our contract needing to being terminated.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an appointment and can provide 24 hours prior notice, there will be no charge for the missed appointment. However, if less than 24 hours notice is given then the full session fee will need to be paid, unless there is a valid reason or an emergency.
If a session date/time needs to be changed with more than 24 hours notice, I will endeavour to try and re-arrange for you depending upon my availability.
If for any reason I need to cancel or change a session, I will notify you immediately and there will be no charge for this session.
Holidays
I will provide noti!cation of my holiday breaks at the start of our working contract and would kindly ask for you to notify of any holidays you already have booked also, so as not to cause too much disruption to our therapeutic relationship.
I do not work bank holidays and for clients I see during the daytime only, I do not work school holidays. For these clients I endeavour to re-schedule appointments for evening slots instead if the client wishes to do so.
